Synopsis
Emmy-nominated actor Michael K. Williams ("The Wire," "Boardwalk Empire") leaves scripts behind as he takes on what Viceland calls "his most personal project to date." With "Black Market," Williams takes a look at underground economies in America and beyond. He meets people who are willing to break the law and risk everything they have just to get by. While digging into the topics, Williams discusses his own issues with addiction, crime and poverty. The black markets explored on the series include South African fishermen who rely on poaching to survive and an opioid-based cough syrup that is becoming popular in the United States.Cast
